Catalyst 4 Change

It's time for this weak radio/club rap shit to cease. Now! We need to ask ourselves:

- do we want watered down music that lost all its content when it comes to honesty, message and feeling?

- do we want to promote artists that are products of money hungry industry people who takes advantage of lack of self criticism amongst listeners/artist/media reps?

Lets bring it BACK! To when the MUSIC used to matter.

Will you be a part of this, stand up on your own and be a CATALYST FOR CHANGE.
Truthlive is bringin some of those thoughts to life, again. Nothing new really. But we need it. Seriously.

Stop it and look

At times music seems to pinpoint a certain feeling with only a few words and basic sounds.

A chant that will make you want to scream that line to the whole world;

STOP IT AND LOOK WHAT U DOING TO ME...!
U-N-I put words to a feeling, and I keep on listening to this.
Over and over!

Ice Cream for summertime

Pharell's BBC/Ice Cream 2010 season Lookbook sneakpeak video, check out below:

Something there you would put on? I saw some fresh looks to be quite honest...but I still hold The Clipse line for the one being more interesting at the moment. Some distributors, please bring this to stores in Europe. Everybody knows the Fred Perry's by now... *sigh*

Watch out in 2010: Eternia & ADaD

To pick out which artist that will make an impression for the coming year of 2010 can be hard to predict. You'll have to weigh certain aspects of their artistic being such as relevance, creativity, longevity, etc etc. Often it's a process of the actual artist that's been years in the making.

Check out Eternia, a female mc from Toronto, Canada...she's been around for quite a while but now building up a serious buzz alongside reknown producer Moss. Eternia is in the process of finishing her new album. Check her out rhyming to a beat, and I have to say she got serious presence and content on the mic, and a good beat selection to add to her perfected skill:

Eternia got serious presence on stage as well, I saw her back in 2005 in Copenhagen and she killed it in front of a 20+ people crowd. That's an accomplishment! Check her out alongside KRS-ONE in Brooklyn recently:

Also check out her video from a few years back, Eternia "Love":

From around the area of Chicago we find MC ADaD who's down with the All Natural crew. Dude's been one half of the group Eulorhytmics for years and now doing a lot of moves on the solo-tip, check out a new interview with ADaD. He was picked out by Rhymefest, to join him on tour for his new album "El Che" which may introduce him to a wider audience:

Rest in peace

Good looking motive of Dilla from Stüssy... may J Dilla rest in peace. But maybe they should've put that logo in a smaller font size, right?

While being at the topic of putting something to rest.......do we really need to bring back this fashion from Coogi that Jadakiss is headlining a campaign for?

Ballin outta control

This year I got really CAUGHT UP in american football, basically because classic NY Jets got to the semifinals. Rex Ryan, the head coach of the Jets is a charismatic dude...and he had me cracked up in the semifinal when he had a serious emotional outburst against the referee. Funny as hell!

Also, here´s a clip from the All Star game between AFC vs NFC. Man these guys are athletes and definitly need to do their math before every play... impressive to say the least.

But... how much illegal substances does these guys inject? Steroids out the ass I would say. But to create entertainment I guess they need to be ballin outta control...

Looking forward to the Superbowl this weekend!
